Jozabad namelijk, de zoon van Simat, en Jozabad, de zoon van Somer, zijn dienaren, sloegen hem neer, zodat hij stierf. En men begroef hem bij zijn vaderen in de stad Davids; zijn zoon Amasja werd koning in zijn plaats.

For Jozachar the son of Shimeath, and Jehozabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smote him, and he died; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaziah his son reigned in his stead.
