II RE 11:18

E tutto il popolo del paese entrò nel tempio di Baal, e lo disfece, insieme con gli altari di esso, e spezzò interamente le sue immagini, ed uccise Mattan, sacerdote di Baal, davanti a quegli altari. Poi il sacerdote dispose gli uffici nella Casa del Signore.

And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.
