แล้วเยฮูเสด็จเข้าไปในนิเวศของพระบาอัล พร้อมกับเยโฮนาดับบุตรชายเรคาบ พระองค์ตรัสกับผู้นับถือพระบาอัลว่า “จงค้นดู ดูให้ดีว่าไม่มีผู้รับใช้ของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่ในหมู่พวกท่าน ให้มีแต่ผู้นับถือพระบาอัลเท่านั้น”
