நமக்குள் நிலைத்துநிற்கிறதும் என்றென்றைக்கும் நம்மோடு இருப்பதுமாகிய சத்தியத்திற்காக, நான்மட்டும் அல்ல, சத்தியத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிற எல்லோரும் சத்தியத்தின்படி நேசித்திருக்கிறவளும்,

The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
