நீங்கள் விசுவாசம் உள்ளவர்களோ என்று உங்களை நீங்களே சோதித்துப்பாருங்கள்; உங்களை நீங்களே பரீட்சை செய்துபாருங்கள். இயேசுகிறிஸ்து உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறார் என்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாதா? நீங்கள் பரீட்சைக்கு நிற்காதவர்களாக இருந்தால் தெரியாது.

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
