ஆகவே, இடித்துப்போடுவதற்கு அல்ல, உறுதியாகக் கட்டவே கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கொடுத்த அதிகாரத்தின்படி, நான் உங்களிடம் வரும்போது, உங்களைக் கண்டிக்காமல் இருப்பதற்காக, நான் தூரத்தில் இருக்கும்போதே இவைகளை எழுதுகிறேன்.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
