En opdat ik mij door de uitnemendheid der openbaringen niet zou verheffen, zo is mij gegeven een scherpe doorn in het vlees, namelijk een engel des satans, dat hij mij met vuisten slaan zou, opdat ik mij niet zou verheffen.
