அவைகளால் நாங்கள் வாக்குவாதங்களையும், தேவனை அறிகிற அறிவிற்கு விரோதமாக எழும்புகிற எல்லா மேட்டிமையையும் அழித்து, எல்லா எண்ணங்களையும் கிறிஸ்துவிற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுமாறு சிறைப்படுத்துகிறவர்களாக இருக்கிறோம்.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
