ORA, nell'anno primo di Ciro, re di Persia (acciocchè si adempiesse la parola del Signore, pronunziata per la bocca di Geremia), il Signore eccitò lo spirito di Ciro, re di Persia; ed egli fece andare un bando per tutto il suo regno, eziandio con lettere, dicendo:
