II CRONICHE 36:16

ma essi si beffavano de' messi di Dio, e sprezzavano le parole di esso, e schernivano i suoi profeti; talchè l'ira del Signore s'infiammò in tal maniera contro al suo popolo, che non vi fu più rimedio alcuno.

But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
