Yoşiya İsrael'in çocuklarına ait olan bütün ülkelerden iğrenç şeylerin tümünü kaldırdı ve İsrael'de bulunanların hepsini hizmet etsinler diye, Tanrıları Yahve'ye hizmet ettirdi. Onun bütün günlerinde atalarının Tanrısı Yahve'yi izlemekten ayrılmadılar.
