Tinanggal ni Josias ang lahat ng mga kasuklam-suklam na bagay mula sa mga lupain na pagmamay-ari ng mga Israelita. Pinasamba niya ang lahat ng mga Israelita kay Yahweh, na kanilang Diyos. Sa lahat ng kaniyang mga araw, hindi sila tumalikod sa pagsunod kay Yahweh, ang Diyos ng kanilang mga ninuno.

And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.
