నేను మోషేద్వారా నియమించిన కట్టడలను విధులను ధర్మశాస్త్రమంతటిని అనుసరించి నడచుకొనడానికి వారు జాగ్రత్తపడితే, మీ పూర్వీకులకు నేను ఏర్పరచిన దేశం నుంచి ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను నేను ఇక ఎన్నటికీ తొలగించను” అని దావీదుతో అతని కొడుకు సొలొమోనుతో దేవుడు సెలవిచ్చిన మాటను లక్ష్యపెట్టక, ఆ మందిరంలో తాను చేయించిన అషేరా చెక్కుడు విగ్రహాన్ని నిలిపాడు.

Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.
