அவன் பென் இன்னோம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே தன் மகன்களைத் தகனபலிகளாக தீயிலே பலியிட்டு, நாள் நட்சத்திரம் பார்த்து, பில்லிசூனியங்களை அநுசரித்து, ஜோதிடம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் வைத்து, யெகோவாவுக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக அவர் பார்வைக்கு மிகுதியும் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
