Ter gelegenheid van het gezantschap, dat de vorsten van Babel tot hem gezonden hadden om naar het wonderteken dat in het land geschied was, te vragen, was het aldus: God verliet hem om hem op de proef te stellen, teneinde te weten alles wat in zijn hart was.

¶ Howbeit in the business of the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent unto him to enquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.
