Sennacherib scrisse oltre a ciò lettere, per ischernire il Signore Iddio di Israele, e per parlar contro a lui in questa maniera: Siccome gl'iddii delle genti de' paesi non hanno salvati i lor popoli dalla mia mano, così anche l'Iddio di Ezechia non salverà il suo.
