Çünkü kendisini yenen Damaskus ilâhlarına kurban sundu. “Mademki Suriye krallarının ilâhları onlara yardım ettiler, bana yardım etsinler diye ben de onlara kurbanlar sunacağım” dedi. Ama onlar kendisinin ve bütün İsrael'in yıkımına neden oldular.
