ఫిలిష్తీయులు మైదానాల ప్రాంతంలోని పట్టణాలనూ యూదాలోని నెగేవునూ ఆక్రమించారు. బేత్షెమెషు, అయ్యాలోను, గెదెరోతు, శోకో దాని గ్రామాలనూ తిమ్నా దాని గ్రామాలనూ గిమ్జో దాని గ్రామాలనూ ఆక్రమించుకుని అక్కడ నివసించారు.
