પલિસ્તીઓએ પણ યહૂદિયાના નીચાણના પ્રદેશોમાં તેમ જ દક્ષિણનાં શહેરો ઉપર હુમલો કર્યો અને આજુબાજુ ગામડાંઓ સહિત બેથ-શેમેશ, આયાલોન, ગદેરોથ, સોખો, તિમ્ના અને ગિમ્ઝો નગરો કબજે કર્યાં અને તેમાં વસવાટ કર્યો.
