Hij voerde oorlog met den koning der Ammonieten, en overwon hen. De Ammonieten moesten hem dat jaar een schatting betalen van honderd talenten zilver, tienduizend kor tarwe en tienduizend kor gerst; dit betaalden de Ammonieten hem ook in de beide volgende jaren.

And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley.
