അങ്ങനെ ഉസ്സീയാരാജാവു ജീവപര്യന്തം കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായിരുന്നു; അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിൽനിന്നു ഭ്രഷ്ടനായിരുന്നതിനാൽ ഒരു പ്രത്യേകശാലയിൽ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായി താമസിച്ചു. അവന്റെ മകനായ യോഥാം രാജധാനിക്കു മേൽവിചാരകനായി ദേശത്തിലെ ജനത്തിന്നു ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തുവന്നു.

And Uzziah the king was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD: and Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.
