Dumating ang Espiritu ng Diyos kay Zacarias na anak ng paring si Joiada. Tumayo si Zacarias sa itaas ng mga tao at sinabi sa kanila, “Ito ang sinasabi ng Diyos, 'Bakit ninyo nilalabag ang mga kautusan ni Yahweh, nang sa gayon hindi kayo sumagana? Yamang tinalikuran na ninyo si Yahweh, tinalikuran rin niya kayo.'”
