അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠളെയും വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു; അവരുടെ ഈ കുറ്റം ഹേതുവായിട്ടു യെഹൂദയുടെമേലും യെരൂശലേമിന്മേലും കോപം വന്നു.

And they left the house of the LORD God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass.
