Daarna ging al het volk in het huis van Baal, en braken dat af; en zijn altaren en zijn beelden verbraken zij, en Matthan, den priester van Baal, sloegen zij dood voor de altaren.

Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down, and brake his altars and his images in pieces, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.
