Yeruşalem sakinleri, Araplarla ordugâha gelmiş olan çete bütün büyüklerini öldürmüş oldukları için, en küçük oğlu Ahazya'yı onun yerine kral yaptılar. Böylece Yahuda Kralı Yehoram oğlu Ahazya kral oldu.
