Dat Achazja naar Joram kwam, werd echter door Gods beschikking zijn ondergang, want toen hij daar gekomen was, gingen Joram en hij Jehu, de zoon van Nimsi, tegemoet, die de Here gezalfd had om het huis van Achab uit te roeien;

And the destruction of Ahaziah was of God by coming to Joram: for when he was come, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu the son of Nimshi, whom the LORD had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
