તોપણ ઈશ્વરે દાઉદની સાથે જે કરાર કર્યો હતો અને તેને તથા તેના વંશજો તેઓનું રાજય કાયમ રાખવાનું પ્રભુએ જે વચન આપ્યું હતું તેને લીધે તે દાઉદના કુટુંબનો નાશ કરવા ઇચ્છતો ન હતો.
