Sabah erken kalkıp Tekoa Çölü'ne çıktılar. Çıktıkları zaman Yehoşafat durup şöyle dedi: “Ey Yahuda ve Yeruşalem'de oturanlar, beni dinleyin! Tanrınız Yahve'ye güvenin pekiştirileceksiniz! O'nun peygamberlerine güvenin, böylece başarılı olacaksınız.”
