ആസാരാജാവു തന്റെ അമ്മയായ മയഖയെയും അവൾ അശേരക്കു ഒരു മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു രാജ്ഞിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവളുടെ മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ആസാ വെട്ടിത്തകർത്തു കിദ്രോൻതോട്ടിങ്കൽവെച്ചു ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.

¶ And also concerning Maachah the mother of Asa the king, he removed her from being queen, because she had made an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
