Peygamber Şemaya, Rehovam'ın ve Şişak yüzünden Yeruşalem'de toplanmış olan Yahuda beylerinin yanına geldi ve onlara şöyle dedi: “Yahve şöyle diyor, 'Beni bıraktınız, bu yüzden ben de sizi Şişak'ın eline bıraktım.'”
