రెహబాము రాజు వెట్టి పనివారి మీద అధికారి అయిన హదోరాముని ఇశ్రాయేలు వారి దగ్గరకి పంపించాడు. కానీ వారు అతణ్ణి రాళ్లతో చావగొట్టారు. అప్పుడు రెహబాము రాజు త్వరగా తన రథం ఎక్కి యెరూషలేముకు పారిపోయాడు.
