આમ, રાજાએ લોકોની વાત સાંભળી નહિ, આ સર્વ ઈશ્વરની ઇચ્છાથી થયું હતું, કેમ કે ઈશ્વરે શીલોની અહિયા મારફતે નબાટના દીકરા યરોબામને જે વચન આપ્યું હતું તેને તે પૂર્ણ કરે.
