テサロニケ人への手紙第一 2:16

彼らは、私たちが異邦人の救いのために語るのを妨げ、このようにして、いつも自分の罪を満たしています。しかし、御怒りは彼らの上に臨んで窮みに達しました。

Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.
