1 Tessalonikerbrevet 1:9

De [folk överallt] berättar själva vilken ingång vi fick hos er och hur ni vände er till Gud, bort från avgudarna (avbilderna) [2 Mos 20:4], för att tjäna (vara en slav som gett hela sitt liv till) den levande och sanne Guden

For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
