1 Samuel 9:27

När de gick ner mot utkanten av staden [antika städer låg alltid på en höjd, så utkanten av staden syftar troligtvis på porten i muren] sa Samuel till Saul: ”Be din tjänare att gå vidare före oss.” Och han gick vidare [ut ur staden]. ”Men stanna du en tid så att jag kan låta dig höra Guds (Elohims) ord.” [Samuel hade ett budskap från Herren till Saul som han ville dela enskilt med honom.]

And as they were going down to the end of the city, Samuel said to Saul, Bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand thou still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God.
