Derpå tog Samuel en Sten og stillede den op mellem Mizpa og Jesjana; og han kaldte den Eben-Ezer*, idet han sagde: “Hidtil har HERREN hjulpet os!” { [*dvs. hjælpens Sten.] }

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.
