Ed essendo il popolo venuto nel campo, gli Anziani d'Israele dissero: Perchè ci ha il Signore oggi sconfitti davanti a' Filistei? facciamoci portar da Silo l'Arca del Patto del Signore, e venga egli nel mezzo di noi, e salvici, dalla mano de' nostri nemici.
