બાળ શમુએલ એલીની પાસે રહીને ઈશ્વરની સેવા કરતો હતો. તે દિવસોમાં ઈશ્વરની વાણી દુર્લભ હતી; ત્યાં વારંવાર પ્રબોધકીય સંદર્શન થતાં નહોતા.
