1 సమూయేలు 30:6

దావీదు చాలా దుఃఖపడ్డాడు. తమ తమ కొడుకులూ కూతుర్లను బట్టి వారందరికీ ప్రాణం విసికి పోయి దావీదును రాళ్లు రువ్వి చంపాలని చెప్పుకున్నారు. దావీదు తన దేవుడు, యెహోవాను బట్టి ధైర్యం తెచ్చుకున్నాడు.

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
