దావీదు ఇంకా అమాలేకీయుల గొర్రెలన్నిటినీ గొడ్లన్నిటినీ చేజిక్కించుకున్నాడు. ఇవి దావీదుకు దోపుడు సొమ్ము అని భావించి తక్కిన వారు మిగిలిన తమ సొంత పశువులకు ముందుగా వీటిని తోలారు.
