1 Samuel 2:29

Waarom zijt ge dan afgunstig op het offer en de gave, die Ik voor Mijzelf heb bestemd? Waarom stelt ge uw zonen boven Mij, door u te goed te doen aan het beste van al wat Israël Mij brengt?

Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
