હવે એલી ઘણો વૃદ્ધ હતો; તેણે સાંભળ્યું કે તેના દીકરાઓ સર્વ ઇઝરાયલ સાથે ખરાબ વર્તન કરતા હતા અને તેઓ મુલાકાતમંડપના દ્વાર આગળ કામ કરનારી સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે કુકર્મ કરતા હતા.
