แล้วเจ้านายของคนฟีลิสเตียกล่าวว่า “พวกฮีบรูเหล่านี้มาทำอะไรที่นี่” และอาคีชก็รับสั่งแก่เจ้านายคนฟีลิสเตียว่า “นี่คือดาวิดมหาดเล็กซาอูลกษัตริย์อิสราเอลไม่ใช่หรือ เขาอยู่กับเรามาเป็นวันเป็นปีแล้ว ตั้งแต่วันที่เขาหนีมาหาข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้ายังไม่พบความผิดในตัวเขาเลย”
