Men filistéernas ledare var arga på honom och sa till honom: ”Låt mannen återvända så att han kan gå tillbaka till den plats där du valde honom och låt honom inte gå med oss till striden, annars kan han bli en motståndare (åklagare – hebr. Satan) till oss i striden, för hur skulle denne man kunna få nåd (försona sig med, få villkorad nåd – hebr. ratsah) hos sin herre? Är det inte med dessa mäns huvuden?
And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
