ซาอูลจึงปลอมพระองค์และทรงฉลองพระองค์อย่างอื่นเสด็จออกไปพร้อมกับชายสองคนไปหาหญิงคนทรงในเวลากลางคืน พระองค์ตรัสว่า “ขอทำนายให้ฉันโดยวิญญาณของคนตาย ฉันจะออกชื่อผู้ใดก็ให้เรียกผู้นั้นขึ้นมา”
