అప్పుడు అబీషై దావీదును చూసి “దేవుడు ఈ రోజున నీ శత్రువుని నీకు అప్పగించాడు. నీకు ఇష్టమైతే అతడు భూమిలో దిగిపోయేలా ఆ ఈటెతో ఒక్కపోటు పొడుస్తాను. ఒక దెబ్బతో పరిష్కారం చేస్తాను” అన్నాడు.

Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.
