นางกราบลงที่​เท​้าของดาวิดกล่าวว่า “​เจ้​านายของดิฉันเจ้าข้า ความชั่วช้านั้นอยู่​ที่​​ดิ​ฉันแต่​ผู้เดียว​ ​ขอให้​หญิงผู้​รับใช้​ของท่านได้​พู​ดให้ท่านฟัง ขอท่านได้โปรดฟังเสียงหญิงผู้​รับใช้​ของท่าน

And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let thine handmaid, I pray thee, speak in thine audience, and hear the words of thine handmaid.
