David apprit que Nabal était mort, et il dit: Béni soit l’Éternel, qui a défendu ma cause dans l’outrage que m’a fait Nabal, et qui a empêché son serviteur de faire le mal! L’Éternel a fait retomber la méchanceté de Nabal sur sa tête. David envoya proposer à Abigaïl de devenir sa femme.

¶ And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the LORD, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the LORD hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head.
