కాబట్టి నా తరువాత నా సంతతిని నీవు నిర్మూలం చేయకుండా ఉండేలా, నా తండ్రి ఇంట్లోనుండి నా పేరు కొట్టివేయకుండేలా, యెహోవా నామం పేరిట నాకు శపథం చెయ్యి.” అప్పుడు దావీదు సౌలుకు శపథం చేశాడు.
