તે માર્ગે ઘેટાંના વાડા પાસે આવ્યો, ત્યાં ગુફા હતી. શાઉલ હાજત માટે તેમાં ગયો. હવે દાઉદ તથા તેના માણસો ગુફાના સૌથી દૂરના ભાગમાં બેઠેલા હતા.
